Camp Takajo Okee Campers at Abraska in Quebec City

What a gorgeous day we had at Camp Takajo. The sun shone brightly, and the humidity made for a perfect day of waterfront activities.

Our Intermediates returned from a glorious trip to Boston. They could not wait to return to the program, including an afternoon at the waterfront and a competitive water polo game. The wind kicked up, and all our sailboats were in use. Skiers, wakeboarders, and wake surfers took advantage of the warm temperature and ripped many turns behind our Ski Nautiques.

Our Warriors were riding high after their incredible soccer outing yesterday, and our ten-and-unders had the opportunity today to participate in a baseball tournament at a neighboring camp. Our boys went one and one and came home exhilarated from the experience.

Our golfers played their last round today at Belgrade Lake Golf Club. All smiles, our boys packed their clubs into the back of the van and made their way to Bar Harbor to meet up at the Atlantic Oceanside Resort with our boys who have completed the St. Croix River canoe trip. The boys were treated to a Maine lobster dinner with all the fixings and retired early in preparation for a 4:00 AM wake-up to see the sunrise at Cadillac Mountain.

The change of routine in and out of camp has created a burst of enthusiasm for our guys. As the weekend approaches, we anticipate a little rain, which will lower the humidity. Bright sunshine and cooler temperatures are on the horizon. There is nothing like a summer day in Maine.
