Today was another long day, but so worth it. We woke up early, ate breakfast at the hotel, and headed further west. Vegas was our destination; but first, we stopped at Zion National Park. The last national park on our trip was absolutely gorgeous. Mountains rose straight up out of the ground for over 2,500 feet. The Virgin River created this canyon over the course of 190 million years.

At Zion, we went on an easy, but very pretty hike alongside the river. As it meandered through the canyon, so did we until we reached a point called Zion Narrows. As the name suggests, the canyon gets very narrow, so we turned back. We ate lunch in the shadow of the gigantic canyon walls, under a tree that was at least a hundred years old. After lunch and some ice cream from the Zion gift shop, we loaded the bus and set off for Vegas.

Once in Vegas, we unloaded, got settled in our rooms, and then hit the town. We visited Coke and M&M Worlds. At Coke World, the thing to do was to sample different Coke brands from all over the world. Some were great, others left you wondering how anyone could like them. After that, we went to the New York, New York hotel. There, we ate like kings at Gallagher’s Steakhouse. What to do after a delicious steak dinner? Jump on the New York , New York roller coaster, of course! We went to the top of the building, and there was the roller coaster.

As we ascended to the top of the first drop, Vegas looked as if it were on fire with all the lights we could see. To finish off the night, we visited Freemont Street to buy souvenirs and watch the light show on the enormous canopy. After another long day in the books, we traveled to our hotel for some much-needed rest. Tomorrow, we do it all again. Viva Las Vegas!
