On day four of the Camp Takajo Western Trip, we had another early wake up. Today was one of the busiest days of the trip. After we ate breakfast, we all loaded the bus and went to one of the most beautiful national parks. Arches National Park is located in Moab and boasts a variety of gravity-defying rock formations. There are rocks that balance on top of other rocks, there are giant rock fins that rise hundreds of feet straight up from the floor of the park, and of course there are natural arches.

The Okees first stop in Arches was to see the balancing rock. A short, 0.3 mile loop carried the Okees around the rock affording countless photo ops. Then, we set off for another portion of the park that contains several arches within a half mile from one another. There was the Turret arch, the North and South Window, and the gorgeous Double Arch. After a few hours of exploring and being in wonder of the natural beauty before us, we returned to the coach bus. Arches National Park is sure to be a life-long memory for all of the Okees. We then grabbed lunch and headed to Cedar City.

Once in Cedar City, we had time to get our rooms set up, and then we were back out. Tonight’s dinner was a Chinese buffet that was very tasty. After dinner, we went cosmic bowling at the bowling ally in town. To finish off one of the busiest days, we all assembled in the lobby of the hotel for an evening snack of milk and cookies. It was a great day that left the Okees very tired, but ready to see what’s in store for tomorrow.
