It was déjà vu. The sound of Reville awakened our campers from a deep sleep after two weeks of fast-paced action. Dippies sprint down to the lake while our other boys with bed head roll out from under the sheets and make their way down to the dining room for our Lazy Man’s Morning, Dunkin’ Donuts breakfast.

After wolfing down some cereal, eggs, and donuts, we prepared for our Facetime calls with parents. Surrounded by big brothers, counselors, and administrative staff, the calls began with our Warriors (finished grades one, two, three, or four). For some, seeing that familiar face for the first time in a few weeks brought a tear to the eye, but for most, the excitement and enthusiasm exuded throughout the call.

Juniors (finished fifth or sixth grades) were next on deck, followed by our Seniors. Within an hour, our boys felt that special connection with home.

The rest of the day was filled with the regular program, which included team sports, hobbies, and skills. Our baseball clinics continue to attract much interest, but those focusing on other sports have many opportunities daily.

This evening, several boys went down to the dock for fishing. The lake was calm, and the fish were biting. By nightfall, our boys made their way to the Snack Shack, where they grabbed some goodies and congregated around our picnic tables to relax and reminisce about the day. Week three is packed with trips for boys in each age division and intercamp competitions for our boys in Junior and Senior Camps. Our boys are hitting their stride, and the best of camp is yet to come.
