With Olympics in full swing, spirit is at an all-time high at Camp Takajo. The competition has reached a fever pitch. So far, our boys have competed in everything from baseball and soccer to track and water polo, with one of the greatest Junior hockey games ending in a shoot-out after double overtime.
At the end of a long day of fierce competition, each group has enjoyed our annual, end of the year make-your-own sundae party. This event is a perfect way to come together after a long, hard day of play to sit side-by-side with your friends, bunkmates, and Olympic opponents to enjoy music, laughter, and the great taste of ice cream. While the connotation of the word “olympics” musters up thoughts of intense competition, we are firm believers in keeping these games in their proper perspective. Evening events, like make your own sundae parties, is the perfect way to cap off a hot summer day.
