What’s Happening at Camp Takajo- July 4, 2014

By July 4, 2014 January 4th, 2019 Tak Talk

We woke up on July 4 to a gray and gloomy day at Camp Takajo. While one might think this could dampen our spirits, we actually enjoyed a break from the heat, humidity and non-stop activity. Each group took advantage of our two indoor sports complexes today. Hobbies were in full swing, and rehearsal started for our “senior big show,” Pippin The Musical.

Camp Takajo Raffle

Since our Independence Day fireworks had to be postponed, we thought we would create a different kind of fireworks by having our first raffle of the summer in the dining room. It is hard to explain the excitement and combustion that is created when our campers chant in unison, as we pull out one-of-a-kind Takajo apparel, such as soccer shorts, waffle shirts, basketball pullovers, and funky beanie hats. Each camper was on the edge of his seat as a name was pulled out of a hat, hoping he may be the lucky one. Rain will never dampen our spirits at Camp Takajo.
