As parents, we all find ourselves doing silly things for our children. Tonight was our counselor talent show, sometimes referred to as the “lack of talent show.” More important than the acts, this is the first time Camp Takajo comes together in the Playhouse as a family. Big brothers, cousins, neighbors and friends seek out their younger loved ones and sit with them for this evening of entertainment. 
Our counselors recognize the importance of getting on stage and hamming it up because it sets the tone for the entire summer. The evening subliminally teaches our children to reach outside our comfort zone, not be concerned about failure, and just have fun. What an amazing evening!
