Our boys enjoyed a much-needed, well-deserved later Reveille this morning and rolled out of bed in PJs and flip-flops, making their way down for a buffet breakfast that included their favorite Dunkin’ Donuts.
We had our first FaceTime calls this morning, and they went incredibly well. It’s heartwarming to see the joy on the faces of our boys as they recount the memories they’ve created during the first couple of weeks of the summer. Of course, there were some tears, but the boys were surrounded by their counselors and received the hugs and love that you would expect after their calls.
After their phone calls, our boys with sisters and cousins at Camp Robindel and Tripp Lake Camp had the perfect distraction. They immediately boarded buses and made their way to their relatives’ camps for an afternoon of lunch, swimming, and tennis.
We have two days of warm summer weather ahead of us– a perfect opportunity for banana boating, sailing, canoeing, waterskiing, and playing in our new water park.
Looking ahead, the week will be filled with day trips for all age levels and a variety of intercamp competitions in every sport.
The momentum continues to build, and our boys continue to thrive.
