Canoeing

Our canoeing program begins with in-camp classes where campers safely learn the basics of handling a canoe, from teamwork and paddling skills to righting a swamped canoe. Once they’ve mastered the basics, boys may sign up for canoeing day trips on local rivers such as the Saco. Our Big Trip for Senior campers is a weeklong wilderness canoeing and camping trip down the Saint Croix River in northern Maine. This is a true camping experience on one of Maine’s most scenic rivers!
